• The European Dream – “I got an e-mail one day in 2016 from an elderly German lawyer from Berlin, revealing a collection of paintings robbed by the Nazis from my grandparents during World War II. Accompanied by the layer, a former Wehrmacht soldier, I embarked on a journey for justice, joined by Roberto Gretz, whose grandfather had an art collection of 250 items.” The film uncovers the cultural and artistic world of the Jews of Berlin before the Holocaust. • Vishniac - When Roman Vishniac began to photograph Jewish communities in Eastern Europe, he did not know he was documenting their final moments. A veritable Renaissance man with interests in biology, physics, and art history, he was a pioneer of microscopic photography and one of the first to use photography as an instrument of documentation. With the rise of anti-Semitism in Russia, his homeland, he fled to Berlin, only to flee again to New York when the Nazis came to power. In all that time, he never put down his camera. His daughter and grandchildren tell the intimate (and traumatic) family story of a man who rose to become one of the world’s best-known nature photographers. The film features his stunning photographs for Life Magazine, alongside tragically heartwarming stills of life in Jewish towns just before the Holocaust. • Radio Propaganda - The film brings for the first time the story of the Israeli radio station Beit Shidur. With the establishment of the State of Israel and the immigration of Jews from Arab countries, the radio station was an active site for producing intelligence and political warfare against Arab countries in the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. From the outside, it was a radio station broadcasting news and songs in Arabic, whereas in practice, the broadcasts were used by the administration for propaganda, psychological warfare, changing public opinion in Arab countries, and activating agents through codes implanted within the broadcasts. Soon the broadcasts became the most terrifying threat that agitated the rulers of the Arab world, and the broadcasters in it were named by the competing radio stations ‘The Israel Broadcasting Corporation’s Propaganda Orchestra’. • Once Upon A School - This is the story of The Midrashia, the flagship of religious Zionism in Israel. Founded before the establishment of the state, the Midrashia produced thousands of high-caliber students who went on to hold positions of power in all sectors of Israeli society. This is a story about a school that in a complicated and surprising process, changed it’s manner, and from an elitist and luxurious school that educated successful and dedicated students – became an anarchist and wild place. This is a chilling and unbelievable story about an educational vision that collapsed, about brotherhood, the loss of control, coming-of-age, and about the human spirit in which the good and bad, cruelty and grace, are mixed together. • Inbal Perlmutter - If You Let Me Go - Many remember the evening of Rosh Ha’Shana 27 years ago, when the news announced that 26-year-old Inbal Perlmutter was killed in a car crash. Despite her young age, the rebellious rocker had already achieved fame as lead singer for Ha’Mechashefot. Her career, as well as her personal life, had been turbulent, up until the inevitable end. The film reveals for the first time her personal diaries, rare archival footage, and intimate encounters with those closest to her. Some of them were not aware just how powerful the beast of darkness lurking beneath the good fairy had become. If You Let Me Go dives into the depths of a groundbreaking musician’s soul who herself plunged into the abyss, leaving a profound mark on Israeli music and culture. • Remembering Marrakech - An Original documentary project by students from Sapir College in Israel and from University Mohammed VI in Morocco. Lecturer: Prof. Sami Shalom Chetrit.
• Az'i Ayima - Come Mother - Sami Shalom Chetrit created a film about the life of his mother, Yekut, from her adolescence in Morocco to the newcomers' city of Ashdod, Israel. A journey between generations and cultures and an exploration of the relationship between Yekut and son, between her poetry and his. The trigger and axis of the film is Yekut's graduation picture from her school in the Moroccan desert, 70 years ago. She embarks on a journey to find her classmates who live today in different corners of Israel and tell their stories and memoires. For the first time, in Hebrew mixed with Moroccan, their stories are intertwined together and are consolidated to a moving new story. Memories of childhood and adolescence in Morocco and the move to Israel, with crises and happy moments, are told from a feminine voice and perspective. • Nathan-ism - For 70 years, Nathan Hilu has been unable to stop drawing. His 90-year-old mind is flooded with memories from the days when the US military assigned him to guard top Nazi war criminals at the Nuremberg trials, keeping them from committing suicide before their verdict was announced. Born to a Syrian Jewish family that immigrated to the States, Hilu remembers with vivid clarity the encounters that changed his life: his conversations with Albert Speer, the long kiss between Göring and his wife, the words he said to each of the accused before leading them to the gallows. These stories recur again and again in his drawings and in the texts that accompany them—rare pieces that never gained him any recognition in the art world. But what really happened back there, in Nuremberg? Could his vivid memories be deceiving him? After the film, join a discussion with the director, Elan Golod.

• End of Love Season - At the age of 75, Geula broke up with her husband Arik, 77. A contractor was hired to build a wall that divided the family house in two, and each of them now lives in their own half. The director Shai Gal points his camera to his parents in an attempt to find out what happened to their love? Why did it take them 55 years to break up? And what does life look like on both sides of the new wall? This film is an intimate, funny, surprising and painful family journey about secrets, insults, desires, compromises, loneliness and parenthood. About the end of love. And what about your love life?
